I’ll take North East India to the rest of India: John Abraham
Find out what John Abraham says about North East India:
His love story with North East begins at the starting of Indian Super League in 2014 when owned NEUFC and said “I’ll take North East India to the rest of India”.
The busy Bollywood star and NE United FC co-owner John Abraham recently said that the North East India region has been “alienated” from the rest of the country, with people having little knowledge about it.
John in an interview with PTI said, “Historically and geographically, we have alienated the North East from the rest of India. It is truly sad. I think we have to be inclusive and it is high time we include North East in India.”
He also said that it is important for people to see the beauty of North East India and spread more awareness about the region.
John said, “It is important for us to bring it back in the mainstream and tell people that this place is not impossible to go to. It is so beautiful, it has everything that we look for.”
John Abraham, who recently has been roped in as the brand ambassador of Arunachal Pradesh tourism, has also been proposed to be the face of the state which he considered as a “blessing in disguise.”
“I spoke to the honourable chief minister Pema Khandu and told him that I would be keen to shoot a film there. He assured me that he will extend any kind of support and service that is needed. So when the CM is forthcoming, it makes life easier.” John said further.
He is also planning to back talent from North East as he said, “I would really like to back talent in films from there just the way I do it for my football team. Not necessarily in front of the camera but also behind the camera.”
